Built structure around security and risk
Created a working risk register, incident tracking process, and clearer view of security priorities. Supported two smooth SOC 2 audits and made the work easier for teams and leaders to follow.
I’ve spent more than 20 years building systems, leading teams, and improving how IT, security, and cloud operations work together. I understand the strategy, but I also know what it takes to make the work hold up day to day.
I’m firm about expectations and straightforward with people. I give teams room to own their work while staying close enough to remove blockers and make decisions. I care about clear ownership, useful process, and work that holds up after the meeting is over.
Each environment added something useful to how I lead today.

Worked with engineering and delivery teams to bring important security checks and decisions into the work earlier, when they are easier to address and less disruptive.
Led security, enterprise IT, cloud operations, and business systems during a broad interim assignment. Helped connect day-to-day operations with risk, cost, reliability, and business priorities.
Hands-on technical work came first. Leadership grew from there.
Joined to lead Security Operations and later took on interim responsibility for information systems, cloud operations, and business systems while serving as acting CISO. That interim assignment concluded in 2026, and my focus returned to security.
Built and led IT and security for a growing biotechnology company, covering cloud, identity, service delivery, governance, and resilience.
Led systems and infrastructure work supporting fast-moving game teams, international offices, and large-scale online platforms.
Roles at Gensler, Wells Fargo, and Century Bank built the hands-on systems, infrastructure, and user-support foundation behind my leadership today.
Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my wife and kids. I enjoy cooking and passing family recipes down to them. I also like getting creative with an Instant Pot or air fryer to make things easier without giving up flavor. On school nights, after work and the kids’ after-school activities like soccer practice, there isn’t always time for a full carne asada with rice and beans. On those days I might make sopita instead, one of my childhood favorites. I’m naturally curious and enjoy finding practical ways to improve things, whether it’s food, a project around the house, or technology that makes family life a little easier.
